The Boston Celtics shake up the backcourt with Dejounte Murray?

Dejounte Murray owns a hefty $15 million contract, and the San Antonio Spurs could be in seller mode by the trade deadline.

At 2-5 and with a young roster, the Spurs have the feel of a team that will be shifting to rebuilding mode soon, especially with Gregg Popovich announcing the beginning of the end with retirement looming next offseason or in 2023.

Landing Murray would be far from difficult if the Cs could use draft capital to come use Josh Richardson and salary filler as trade bait for the former Washington Husky.

Verdict: Pursue if San Antonio continues on its current trajectory

The Boston Celtics add a potential starting PF in Christian Wood?

Christian Wood is somewhat out of place on the current Houston Rockets considering the amount of time it will take this team to be competitive and his own current trajectory.

Houston deploys four 19-year-olds. Wood, at age 26, is probably better off with a team trying to win…for his own career’s sake.

A union with the Cs makes a ton of sense, and would give Ime Udoka a chance to experiment with either Woods-centric second units or an offense-defense 4-5 combo of Woods and Robert Williams.

Verdict: Pursue if Houston decides to get even younger
