Boston Celtics C Robert Williams’ game grade: A

The Time Lord played a flawless game against a rejuvenated Mitchell Robinson, who never looked as dominant as he did last night.

Robinson gobbled up 17(!) boards, but Williams still managed to grab 10 of his own while scoring 16 points on a perfect 5/5 night and holding the Knicks center to just 11 points.

Williams had the second best box-plus/minus of any Celtic behind Jaylen Brown. As the only true big on the floor, #44 held things down.

New York Knicks PG Kemba Walker’s game grade: B

Kemba Walker hit big shots when it mattered and played 36 minutes, collecting 10 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and finding three Knicks teammates for scores.

Overall, he played an even game in the Bronx-born collegiate national champion’s homecoming to the arena he made unforgettable memories at as a member of the 2010-11 UCONN Huskies. Nothing spectacular, but overall effective.

New York Knicks SG/SF Evan Fournier’s game grade: A+

You want to talk about spectacular? Look no further than Evan Fournier’s unreal overtime performance to prevent the Knicks from profoundly disappointing the home-town crowd with a 32-point performance that was comprised of mostly clutch shots in overtime.

Fournier scored 12 points during the two OT intervals, knocking down four 3-pointers including a go-ahead-for-good 3 with under a minute left. Fournier very quickly justified New York’s decision to hand him a $78 million contract this past offseason, assuming this wasn’t just a red herring of what’s to come.
