Tomáš Satoranský

While not the exciting star point guard option Boston Celtics fans may desire for a potential Kemba Walker replacement, Tomáš Satoranský’s high assist rate in smaller sample sizes reveals the potential for the Czechian guard to be the perfect pass-first floor general in a lineup that gets a good amount of its production from the isolation talents of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Satoranský is in the way of 2019 first-round draft pick Coby White’s ascension, and dealing him could open up more opportunities for the former UNC product. While Cs fans probably prefer him as a backup, there are far worse ways to spend $10 million.

In fact, if Stevens isn’t sold on Satoransky and simply wants to open up the books, his 2021-22 salary is only partially guaranteed.

Thaddeus Young

Thaddeus Young brings length and veteran savvy to any lineup he is in, but it doesn’t look like Chicago was a very good fit for the 2007 lottery pick.

In his two seasons with the Bulls, the team hasn’t been able to crack the top 10 in the Eastern Conference either year. At 32, Young isn’t getting any younger. Being in a winning situation is the only logical next step for his career.

The Boston Celtics certainly offer that opportunity with an All-NBA talent in Tatum and soon-to-be All-NBA talent in Jaylen Brown.
