Boston Celtics target No. 1) Dejounte Murray

If the Boston Celtics ship out their starting point guard, it would behoove them to try and get some sort of replacement in return.

Dejounte Murray would be a great get in a packaged deal for the team.

A while back, we viewed the 24-year-old as a great TPE target to consider pursuing and, though this concept of acquiring him involves different means, our reasoning still remains the same.

The former 29th overall pick back in the 2016 draft, Murray has established himself as a solid all-around talent, with a play style that primarily focuses on defensive intensity and all-out hustle.

An All-Defensive Second-Team selection in 2018, his prowess on the less glamorous side of the ball is well documented, which would make Boston’s backcourt even more menacing to go up against with Marcus Smart by his side.

Through 61 games played this year, San Antonio’s starting point guard managed to post per-game averages of 15.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor.

More of a distributor than a scorer, Dejounte Murray actually could prove to be the perfect one guard to run an offense already consisting of the likes of scoring machines in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

In the Houdini’s humble opinion, swapping out Kemba Walker and a few future picks in exchange for the two-way youngster could be a fantastic move for Boston’s front office to make.
