Way to turn season around No. 2) Continue giving Robert Williams big minutes

At the deadline, one of the biggest storylines pertaining to the Boston Celtics and their specific plans was centered around bolstering their frontcourt, specifically at the pivot.

With names like Nikola Vucevic and John Collins seen attached to the franchise, many saw it being a realistic possibility that Danny Ainge and co. would try to swing for the fences and bring on a “difference-maker” down low via trade.

Ultimately, however, no such player at the position was acquired, leaving some to believe the deadline was a bit of a wash for the Cs.

We, on the other hand, don’t view it as too much of a negative in regard to the fact that they didn’t manage to bring aboard a noteworthy big for, frankly, the team seemingly has a suitable answer down low already in third-year player, Robert Williams III.

Since getting an increase in minutes during the month of March alone, the Texas A&M product finds himself posting a near double-double of 10 points and 8.8 rebounds to go along with 2.8 assists and 2.7 blocks per game on an incredible 71 percent shooting from deep.

Having the second highest box plus/ minus on the entire team while also being a part of two of the top-3 active scoring units for the Cs on the season, getting more minutes from Robert Williams could be of great service to Brad Stevens’ rotation as we venture closer to the postseason.
