Not so obvious untouchable asset No. 3) Robert Williams III

The idea by many leading into trade season was that the Boston Celtics should look into addressing their frontcourt, specifically their center slot.

With this, rumors of the team being interested in the likes of Vucevic, Myles Turner, and other big-name centers started to circulate and, for a while there we at HH actually started to lean into this particular agenda.

However, recently, Robert Williams III has slowly but surely changed our minds, for his play has simply been stupendous.

Since getting an uptick in time on the court this month, Time Lord has turned things up to a whole new level, as he’s averaging 20.7 minutes in March and is posting 10.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and a stellar three blocks per outing on a whopping 76 percent shooting from the floor.

Essentially since being drafted 27th overall by the Cs back in 2018, fans, media, and Boston’s own personnel have been raving about the potential that the Texas A&M product has. Unfortunately, through the years, injuries have put a bit of a hold on seeing such potential come to light.

Now, finally healthy (*knock on wood*) the center is doing wonders for this team and, with this, should be viewed as an essential contributor and NOT a trade asset.

In the past, we’ve publicly pleaded for the Boston Celtics to insert Robert Williams into their starting rotation at the pivot. Post deadline, we hope to see this hypothetical scenario become a reality.
