Boston Celtics question No. 2) Will Robert Williams finally make the starting-5?

Seemingly since he joined the Boston Celtics as a rookie back in 2018, fans have been completely enamored with the potential that big man Robert Williams III has.

Unfortunately, injuries have played a large role in his tenure, which has caused said potential to be left to the imagination instead of being showcased on the hardwood.

Now, however, in year three the 23-year-old has managed to remain healthy and, in turn, he has put together quite a strong campaign for the shamrocks.

In 16.1 minutes per game, Williams finds himself posting per-game averages of 6.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game on a whopping 72 percent shooting from the floor.

To put this production into perspective, when converting these numbers into per-36 minute averages, the big is putting up a stellar 15.5 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game.

His play has been so good, in fact, that many have begun to beg the question as to when Williams will finally be able to crack the starting lineup.

HH is waiting for an answer on this as well.

Seemingly all season, Williams has been an efficiency machine, as he’s first on the team (out of players logging over 200 minutes) in field-goal percentage, offensive rating (135), defensive rating (104), defensive box plus-minus (2.8), and overall box plus-minus (5.4).

Quietly one of their most impactful players on the roster, the idea of starting Robert Williams should not be foreign.

In fact, it should be a reality.
