Boston Celtics: 3 trade targets to monitor during All-Star game
By Mark Nilon
Boston Celtics All-Star target No. 2) Nikola Vucevic
Perhaps our favorite target, not just in the All-Star game but of the players linked to the Cs as a whole, Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic would be the ideal grab for Boston at this year’s All-Star game.
Over the past several years, the biggest weakness within the Celtics’ rotation has been their center position, and this unfortunate truth has rolled right along into 2020-21.
If acquired, the multi-time All-Star selection would come in and easily be the best talent they could roll out at the pivot.
Through 36 games played, the center is posting stellar averages of 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, one steal, and just shy of a block per game on 48 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep.
One of the best pick-and-pop players in the game today, as well as being one of the best passing bigs, Vucevic paired with the likes of Tatum, Brown, Walker, and the rest of this Boston Celtics core would be a great sight to see and, should he be available for a trade, Danny Ainge and co. should strongly consider striking a deal to land the talented center.
