Boston Celtics player No. 2) Jaylen Brown

Next up, we see yet another player who, though is an obvious choice to be on this list, is oh so deserving of his inclusion.

Like Tatum, Jaylen Brown, too, saw a career year in 2019-20, as he averaged 20.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals on 48 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep.

Also like Tatum, Brown is following up his career-year with even better numbers, posting a stellar stat-line of 25.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep.

In fact, the 24-year-old’s start to the 2020-21 season has been SO good that Bleacher Report even went about listing him as an honorable mention on their self-proclaimed way-too-soon MVP rankings list.

Though there were reports that the Boston Celtics were interested in dealing for James Harden this season, post Brooklyn Nets trade rumors indicate that General Manager Danny Ainge pulled out of negotiations, as the asking price including Brown was deemed as ‘too high.’

Put it like this — “Trader Danny” himself opted not to trade for a bonafide superstar due to his reluctance to part with his fifth-year wing.

Jaylen Brown is here for the long-run, and we couldn’t be happier.
