Boston Celtics trade idea No. 3) Myles Turner comes to Beantown

Recently, we’ve seen the media clamoring about how Myles Turner could be a perfect trade target for the Boston Celtics this offseason. The Houdini, of course, has always been big on such an idea and even concocted our own deal that could immediately thrust the shamrocks into instant title favorite status.

While the trade listed above is a bit different in regard to the moving pieces, the gist of it is still the same: Turner in green and white would be a perfect union.

On the season, the 23-year-old big man posted solid averages of 12.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and a whopping 2.1 blocks per game on 46 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from deep.

Outside of acquiring their potential answer at the pivot moving forward, this trade also sees the Cs bringing on the talented offensive-minded player in Jeremy Lamb (12.5 points on 45 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from deep) to help bolster the team’s putrid scoring production off the pine, where they ranked 29th in points per game (28.5), 28th in 3-point percentage (31.8), and 20th in offensive rating (53.6).

In turn, we see Gordon Hayward return to his home state of Indiana, where he can try and resurrect his career alongside All-Stars Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis in an effort to secure one last big-time contract should he wind up opting into the final year of his current deal.
