The successes of the 2019-20 season for the Boston Celtics have been well documented by both fans and media publications alike. Winning 48 games this season, attaining the second-seed, and clinching their sixth-straight playoff berth are all amazing accomplishments.

Knowing what they endured throughout this year’s campaign and still reaching such heights… now that’s what makes this season even more impressive.

Be it the plethora of roster shakeups from last offseason to the consistent bites from the injury bug — Walker and Hayward received the hardest of bites — to, even, the COVID-19 induced hiatus that essentially put the whole world on pause, the Cs still managed to come away from all these polarizing hiccups successful.

This postseason, unfortunately, was no different in regard to misfortunes, as their fourth option, Gordon Hayward — who could find himself playing at some point during this series –, went down in the final minutes of the first game of round one with a grade 3 ankle sprain and, in turn, has been out ever since.

Like they’ve responded all season, however, they managed to find a way to succeed regardless thanks to the resilience of this overall roster and their head man Brad Stevens. Behind these factors, the Celtics swept through their first round, overcame the reigning champions in round-two, and now, for the third time in four years, see themselves back in the Eastern Conference Finals.

No matter what has been thrown at Boston throughout this entire season, they’ve always managed to find a way to come out on top.

Heading into this series, the Celtics are battle-tested beyond belief.

Make no mistake about it, Miami is quite a menacing team for anyone to face. However, with what this team has been through already, fans should feel confident in what they can accomplish moving forward should they put it all on the line.
