Boston Celtic we hope gets extended minutes No. 2) Robert Williams III

We’re gonna keep this trend going: play the Time Lord!

Since our first plea during this resumption to see extended minutes from Robert Williams III, the shamrocks have been undefeated and have taken part in two blow out victories — one coming against the Brooklyn Nets and one against the defending champion Toronto Raptors. And, sure, it would be a lie to say Williams was the main catalyst in any of said wins, but he certainly was a major contributor along the way.

Clocking in at 14.6 minutes a night the sophomore big-man has put up 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks on 83 percent shooting from the field and an average box plus/ minus of +11.

Hitting his stride seemingly at the perfect time, it appears the man known as Time Lord — or, in some instances, “Boo Butt” — is a prime candidate to receive ample playing time in the upcoming postseason. With his recent level of play, coupled with his specific skill set, he is seen as a fantastic commodity for the Boston Celtics moving forward, especially on the defensive end when going up against the likes of Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Of all the players slated to play in today’s game, Robert Williams is easily one of the most important heading into the playoffs.
