The Boston Celtics will be squaring off tonight against the Houston Rockets for their third and final scrimmage game.

The Boston Celtics have the makings to be one of the top title contenders coming into the Disney bubble, and their place amongst the standings certainly backs up this claim. With the likes of All-Stars Jayson Tatum & Kemba Walker, arguable All-Star snub Jaylen Brown, former All-Star Gordon Hayward, and Swiss Army man Marcus Smart it’s easy to see why they’re as hyped up as they are.

However, before they can set their sights on the Larry O’Brien trophy, they’ll need to finish up with their three preliminary scrimmages. Through two of said scrimmages, the shamrocks have managed to split the games 1-1 — they lost against the Oklahoma City Thunder on July 24th and rebounded with a victory over the Phoenix Suns on July 26th.

Tonight marks the third and final scrimmage Boston will have to play before the season’s final eight seeding games can commence. Going up against a team with a 1-1 record themselves in the Houston Rockets, the game likely could be met with some extra competitive fire-power, as neither team wants to head into the resumption of the regular season with a losing record, regardless of them having just been scrimmages.

For their final outing before the league’s resumption, the Boston Celtics and their fanbase will want to see a few things in order to feel a greater sense of comfortability in their chances at banner number 18.
