Embrace Kemba Walker’s return

After representing Team Giannis in the 2020 NBA All-Star game in Chicago, Kemba Walker has missed every game since the conclusion of the All-Star break. That hasn’t hurt the team as much as one would expect, due to Tatum’s elevated play of late.

Tonight, they will be without Tatum, but will welcome the return of their All-NBA point guard and All-Star game starter in Walker. Given he has had a few games to rest, he should resemble the player that had averaged 20.7 points per game in the four contests prior to the All-Star break.

Walker returns in what should have been the third meeting between himself and the Boston Celtics last franchise point guard, Kyrie Irving. Of course, the latter’s shoulder injury will keep him out of action until the 2020-21 season kicks off later this year.

Walker will be on a minutes limit, but the team needs to run through their star guard in the time he is on the floor. If they can follow the leader, Boston should be in a good position to keep pace with the Toronto Raptors (0.5 games back) for the Eastern Conference’s #2 seed.
