Isaiah Thomas

Last, but certainly not least, we have a man that Boston Celtics fans know far too well. Isaiah Thomas, one of the most beloved players who donned the green and white in the 2010’s, is currently finding himself playing some fine basketball in 2019-20.

While suiting up for a putrid 13-27 Washington Wizards squad, Thomas is putting up solid averages of 12.4 points and four assists on 41% shooting from the field and 41% shooting from deep. With these stats, the point guard would be a fantastic addition to this Boston bench, and would without a doubt improve their overall team’s (35%) and second unit’s (30%) long range shooting.

Truth be told, it’s not even a question as to whether or not IT would be an upgrade to Wanamaker, or anyone else at the rotation behind Walker; he absolutely would be.

We’re seeing what he can still provide to a team in year nine and have seen what he can provide in a Brad Stevens system.

On just a one year, $2 million deal, acquiring the veteran point guard wouldn’t take much. Plus, with the Wizards looking towards the draft rather than the playoffs, perhaps they would be better off trading all their talented assets not named Bradley Beal and Rui Hachimura.

We’ve seen what Isaiah Thomas can do in Title Town. Seeing him back with the shamrocks would be a true story book turn of events.
