Shake Milton – Jr. – G – SMU

Milton is the kind of player that fits the mold of a late-round pick that turns into a player of value. A veteran player that played college basketball away from the spotlight at Southern Methodist University, Milton has the size and skill set to play in the NBA.

A 6’6″ combo guard, Milton has the length to guard wing players, while also expressing the play-making ability to run on offense. His best skill may be as an outside shooter, as he leads SMU in three-pointers made and is shooting 43 percent for the season.

With Marcus Smart likely on the way out, Milton is a bigger guard that adds a different dynamic to Boston. Evan Turner, a similar-sized player, thrived playing under Brad Stevens and Milton is a more reliable outside shooter.

Milton’s stock is on the rise after he cleaned out 7th ranked Wichita State last week, scoring 33 points, including several deep threes that sealed the game for the Mustangs.
