Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum look like players that can dominate All Star weekend for years to come

The Boston Celtics are one of the mot well represented teams at All Star weekend, and fans were given a treat last night with Jaylen Brown‘s performance. He dominated the game and brought some of the most exciting plays with contest level dunks.

We have known for a while that Brown is one of the most special athletes in the NBA, and the more time he gets to figure out how to use that ability, the better he is going to get. Brown is one of the most improved players in the NBA, and he is no where near done.

It should only be a matter of time before Brown and Jayson Tatum are regular fixtures on All Star weekend, and the two of them can dominate the most exciting events.

Last night was all we needed to see from Brown. He is clearly one of the elite dunkers in the NBA, and there is no doubt that he could compete in the dunk contest right now. When you take into account how much better he can get in future years, and it would be a shame if he never accepts an invite.

More from Hardwood Houdini

Brown has the ability to hit the hardest dunks in the NBA, and he has the work ethic and dedication to find a way to separate himself. Who knows if Brown is even interested in participating in the event, because he has be known to keep to himself and avoid that kind of spotlight. That being said, you know every single Celtics fans wants a chance to see what he could come up with on that stage.

Then you have Tatum who, as a rookie, has spent much of this season as the leading three point shooter, and has kept himself well above 40 percent, despite this recent “slump” that everyone is talking about.

Taking set wide open shots has already been his bread a butter. Tatum’s reliability is unparalleled for a rookie. Tatum is on track to be one of the elite three point shooters in the league for a long time, and that means it will only be a matter of time before he gets into that three point competition.

Obviously, there are quite a few elite shooters, and Tatum has a ways to go before he can confidently keep up with players like Klay Thompson, even in the most controlled setting possible. That being said, Tatum is 19 years old, and is just beginning what should be a truly dominant career.

It would be a shocker if Tatum is not involved in All Star festivities for the duration of his career, and that three point shootout is something he is already capable of winning. If you add on a year or two of growth and comfort, and whether or not he eventually wins a three point contest should come down to whether or not he accepts the invite.
