Jaylen Brown had a performance to get excited about with the rising stars

The NBA’s rising stars played last night, and one player was clearly a step ahead of anyone else on the court. Jaylen Brown finished with 35 points and 10 rebounds, good enough to be the leading scorer and second best rebounder in the game. He did all of that in only 23 minutes played. Obviously, no defense is played at all in these games, but Brown was clearly on another level every time he saw the court.

On top of that, Brown was the most exciting player in the game. He had multiple incredible dunks, and put on his own personal dunk contest by going through his legs, and making everyone wonder why he is not participating in the dunk contest tonight.

Brown brought all the ability and all of the excitement, and sent a nice reminder to the league that Jayson Tatum is not the only young player that could transform this franchise. Tatum gets all the attention because of the remarkable things he does as a rookie, but Brown just sent the league a reminder that he still could end up being the best young player in the NBA, and that should terrify Boston’s competition.

The Celtics know they have something special right now, and seeing both Kyrie Irving and Al Horford in the All Star game tomorrow will be the best indication as to how the Celtics are competing in the East right now.

The race for that top seed is going to be a lot of fun, but Brown just made sure everyone needs to be thinking about what this team will become once he and Tatum are able to develop. Brown is one of the most improved players in the league in his second year, and he has his sights set on improving even more next season.

Brown has always put in the work and dedication, while never needing any of that spotlight. This performance on All Star weekend is probably the most spotlight Brown has brought on himself so far in his career, and maybe it is a sign that he might be ready to start dominating games in a way that players his age are not supposed to.

The quality of basketball in these kinds of games is never great, and a lot of those points were gimmes with the defense standing by and watching. That being said, Brown still managed to get every single Celtics fan excited about the game, and the kind of potential he has to grow into a true star in this league.
