Jabari Bird
Jaylen Brown wasn't the only former California Golden Bear on the Celtics roster in 2017. With the No. 56 pick in that year's draft, Boston reunited Brown with his former collegiate backcourt mate, Jabari Bird. The six-foot-six two-guard was the ideal size for his position and had the profile of an elite 3-point sniper.
Bird was actually decent during his limited time in green. In just 13 games, he shot 57% from the field, including a scorching 43% from distance. He even was a major contributor in a Celtics 111-104 win against the Chicago Bulls late in the season, chipping in 15 points off the bench.
The future looked promising for Bird, who signed a multi-year deal with the Celtics in the summer of 2018. However, before the start of his sophomore campaign, he was arrested on domestic abuse and kidnapping charges. He never suited up for the Cs again, and the team eventually cut bait with him and shipped him to the Atlanta Hawks for cash. He was waived the following day and never played in the NBA again.
