The Boston Celtics are road favorites once again when they take on the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

Boston has been dominant, even with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum sitting out games, and both players aren’t on the injury report on Monday, a good sign for the C’s.

Atlanta is without several rotation players, including All-Star Trae Young and forward Jalen Johnson.

Can the Hawks hang around at home against Boston?

Celtics vs. Hawks key players to watch

Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum: Over his last seven games, Tatum is averaging 29.4 points on 45.3 percent shooting from the field, and he could get some more open looks with Jaylen Brown playing alongside him tonight. The Hawks held Tatum to just 20 points in an eight-point loss the last time these teams played.

Atlanta Hawks

Dejounte Murray: In his last two games, Dejounte Murray has 28 and 29 points, carrying the offense with Young and Johnson out. He’s also picked up a double-double in four straight games. Murray didn’t play in the last game against Boston, so it’ll be interesting to see how he plays against one of the best defenses in the NBA.

Celtics vs. Hawks prediction and pick

Boston has covered the spread in six straight games as a road favorite -- moving to 17-14-3 against the spread in that spot this season.

The team has done this despite playing multiple back-to-backs without its full rotation, and there’s a chance five of the team’s top six players are in action tonight if Derrick White (questionable) suits up.

As for Atlanta, the team is just 2-7 ATS as a home dog in the 2023-24 season, one of the worst marks in the NBA.

I’ll give the Hawks credit, they covered as massive favorites against Charlotte, but now they’re taking on the No. 1 team in the league in net rating.

Boston keeps extending the lead in the East, and now that the team has figured things out on the road, it’s a must bet against a banged-up Atlanta team.
