A two-game losing streak earlier this month hasn’t deterred the Celtics from adding to its large lead atop the Eastern Conference. The Celtics have a commanding 10-game advantage over the Bucks heading into Wednesday’s nationally-televised tilt between the two clubs at TD Garden.

Boston, winners of six straight, have been dominant at home and have split a pair of matchups with Milwaukee this season. The Bucks found their groove under interim head coach Doc Rivers out of the All-Star Break, having won nine of their last 12 games.

Milwaukee is trying to hold off Cleveland for the No. 2 spot in the East. Can they hang within the big number on the road Wednesday night?

Here’s the betting breakdown for Wednesday’s conference clash with a best bet.

Bucks vs. Celtics prediction and pick

Trusting two elite offenses in this matchup. Starting with the home squad, Boston has been a force in its home venue this season. The Celtics are No. 2 in the NBA in home scoring (123.4 points per game) and rank No. 1 in the NBA in net offensive rating.

Down low, Boston is the No. 3 two-point shooting team in the NBA and can attack the basket effectively against a Milwaukee defense that is 21st in the league in points in the paint allowed, yielding 51.6 per game.

On the other side, Boston has played just one team with a winning record (Phoenix) over its six-game winning streak and Milwaukee has found comfortability in Rivers’ system and can score points in droves. Milwaukee, No. 4 in offensive net ranking this season, and can have an efficient night against a Boston defense that relies on getting stops (No. 29 in steals per game and No. 30 in turnovers).

Both of the previous two matchups between these championship-level clubs soared over this total with an average of 236 points. Trust two of the NBA’s best units and go over.
