Best NBA prop bets today for Thunder vs. Celtics (Bet this Derrick White prop)

Can the Boston Celtics keep their impressive record at home going against one of the best teams in the West?

Boston is heavily favored tonight but I’m actually going to dive into the prop market in this game due to the spread being so wide in this matchup. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, and they have not submitted an injury report as of this writing. They sat both Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Tuesday night, so I’d expect at least one of those guys to suit up in this matchup – if not both.

If SGA plays, there is a prop that I like for him, but there are two Celtics that I really want to target in this matchup.

Thunder vs. Celtics best NBA prop bets

• Jayson Tatum OVER 26.5 points
• Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 4.5 assists
• Derrick White OVER 0.5 blocks

Jayson Tatum OVER 26.5 points

Since March 1, Jayson Tatum is averaging 28.1 points per game while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from 3-point range.

He’s playing some of his best basketball of the season, clearing 26.5 points in eight of his last 15 games, landing on exactly 26 points on four occasions. So this is a great line from oddsmakers. 

However, we may finally see Tatum in a close game, as the Thunder beat Boston earlier this season. In that game, Tatum had 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting, and he played nearly 38 minutes in the contest. 

If the All-Star forward can get usage like that tonight, I love him to clear this number. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 4.5 assists

This prop is way too low for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 6.3 assists per game on the season. 

A quad injury has limited the All-NBA guard over his last few games but SGA has still picked up five or more dimes in nine of 13 games since March 1 averaging 5.5 assists per game over that stretch. 

In his first meeting with Boston this season, SGA had seven assists. He’s also putting up 11.3 potential assists per game in his last 10 matchups. Lay the juice with him to pick up five or more dimes tonight.

Derrick White OVER 0.5 blocks

This prop had been super reliable at some points this season, and now that the line is back down at 0.5, I love taking Derrick White to record a block.

White has a block in 11 of 15 games since March 1, averaging 1.3 blocks per game. On the season, the Celtics guard has blocked 1.2 shots per game (85 total blocks). 

Opponents average 5.1 blocks per game against the Thunder this season, and White recorded a block in the first meeting between these teams. He’s a solid bet as long as this line stays below 1.5.
