Miami Heat: Haywood Highsmith

Any opportunity to make the Miami Heat get weaker is an opportunity worth taking. Haywood Highsmith is turning into an elite three-and-d player before our eyes. In 66 games with the Heat, he averaged 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and a steal a game on 47% shooting, and 40% from three in 21 minutes of playing time.

If we go back to a game in January, Highsmith erupted against the Boston Celtics for 14 points on a perfect 4/4 from three in 26 minutes.

He is undrafted at 27 years old and has a trip to the NBA finals in 2023 on his resume already. Undrafted players can be gems in a championship system because the chip on their shoulder is always prevalent. If the market is not too crazy on Haywood, then ring up his agent and sell him on Banner 19.
