The Boston Celtics just picked up a huge short-handed win over the Portland Trail Blazers. With Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jrue Holiday sidelined, Payton Pritchard and Derrick White stepped into the limelight. They combined to score 84 points in an incredible display of shot-making, pouring in 19 threes in the process.
Now, the Celtics are set to take on the Philadelphia 76ers, who have endured a brutal season from an injury standpoint. Joel Embiid was battling chronic issues all year, and now, he’s officially out for the season. But he’s not the only player on Philadelphia’s injury report heading into Thursday night.
Here is the Celtics injury report for their game against the 76ers on Thursday, March 6.

If Wednesday night was classified as “short-handed,” then Thursday is going to take that term to the extreme.
Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Al Horford are all already confirmed to be out for the Celtics’ game against the 76ers.
Brown is dealing with a knee ailment, Holiday still has right hand mallet finger, Porzingis is still sick, and Horford’s infamous big toe sprain is back.
Jayson Tatum was questionable to play after missing Wednesday night’s game against the Blazers with the same right shoulder impingement that held him out. He's since been upgraded to available. Sam Hauser is also on the injury report now, as he looked to have sprained his ankle on Wednesday. He will be out.
Philadelphia is also dealing with a plethora of injuries. As noted, Joel Embiid is out for the year due to his knee, but Tyrese Maxey will join him on the sidelines on Thursday. Maxey is out due to a back issue. Paul George is also out with a groin injury.
On top of that, Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon are both out as well. Lowry has a hip problem, and Gordon underwent surgery to repair a wrist issue at the end of February.
Rookies Jared McCain and Justin Edwards are on the injury report as well. McCain is out after tearing his meniscus earlier in the year, and Edwards is questionable with an ankle injury.
