On Monday night, the Boston Celtics lost to the Orlando Magic, marking their second loss in their last three games. They shot a season-low 33 threes after previously getting up at least 40 in each of their contests this season. Now, they’ll return home for a Christmas Day date with the Philadelphia 76ers.

It’s been a rough year for the Sixers, as they’ve dealt with a ton of injury issues. Most notably, Joel Embiid has missed a bunch of time, though he’s finally back on the court. The same can be said about Paul George, who has had his struggles this year. And recently, the 76ers lost rookie sensation Jared McCain to a torn meniscus, too.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ Christmas Day game against the 76ers on Wednesday, December 25.

Celtics injury report vs. 76ers on Wednesday, December 25

  • Jrue Holiday OUT (right shoulder impingement)
  • Jayson Tatum AVAILABLE (non-Covid illness)
  • Derrick White AVAILABLE (right hamstring tightness)

76ers injury report vs. Celtics on Wednesday, December 25

  • Eric Gordon PROBABLE (mouth)
  • Andre Drummond QUESTIONABLE (toe)
  • KJ Martin OUT (foot)
  • Jared McCain OUT (meniscus)

Jayson Tatum was a very late scratch before the Celtics’ loss to the Magic on Monday. He was listed as questionable just minutes before tip-off and officially ruled out by halftime.

He remains on the injury report with the same non-Covid-related illness that kept him out on Monday night (though Joe Mazzulla said that Tatum tried his best to play before the contest).

Jrue Holiday has also been added to the injury report ahead of Christmas Day. He’s dealing with a right shoulder impingement and is questionable to play.

On top of that, Derrick White is also questionable, as he’s dealing with right hamstring tightness.

For the 76ers, a few players have found themselves on the injury report ahead of Wednesday night.

Eric Gordon is probable to play after having surgery on the right side of his mouth. Andre Drummond is also listed, though he is questionable due to a toe ailment.

KJ Martin and Jared McCain are both officially out for the game, Martin due to a stress reaction in his foot and McCain because of his meniscus surgery.
