The Boston Celtics came back home for a game against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. They were fresh off a 3-1 road trip against Western Conference teams, but they fell to the De’Aaron Fox-less Kings. Now, the New Orleans Pelicans are in town for a game on Sunday, and the Celtics will be hoping to bounce back.

It’s been a disastrous season for the Pelicans. Injuries have plagued them all year, and they are still dealing with a ton of ailments. Zion Williamson has missed a ton of time, Dejounte Murray missed a chunk of games to start the year, and Brandon Ingram is still out.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Pelicans on Sunday, January 12.

  • Dejounte Murray QUESTIONABLE (elbow/shin)
  • Brandon Ingram OUT (ankle)
  • Herb Jones OUT (labrum)

The Celtics have a relatively clean bill of health for their game against the Pelicans on Sunday night. Two-way player Drew Peterson is the only player listed on the injury. He will miss his second straight game due to being in concussion protocol.

While they aren’t dealing with a ton of injuries at the current moment, the Celtics have had to play through the fallout of some issues.

Jaylen Brown missed some games on their road trip due to a right shoulder strain, and Derrick White missed a game with an illness.

On top of that, Jordan Walsh also missed a couple of games with an illness, and Kristaps Porzingis has been out sporadically this year due to various lower-leg injuries.

For the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram highlights their injury report, as he’s still out due to a long-term ankle injury. As mentioned, Herb Jones is out with a torn labrum, which is a recent development.

Dejounte Murray is questionable to play due to elbow and shin issues.

In addition, Zion Williamson is noticeably not on the injury report. He made his return to action a few games ago before following it up with an injury absence and a one-game suspension for being late to the team plane.
