The Boston Celtics improved to 3-0 with their win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. Following their Opening Night victory over the New York Knicks, the Celtics embarked on a two-game road trip against two of the NBA’s bottom-feeders from last season. But now, they will head back home for a contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have started the year 1-1, earning a victory against the injured Philadelphia 76ers in their season opener and losing to the Chicago Bulls in their second game. Their matchup against the defending champs will be their tallest task by far.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Bucks on Monday, October 28.

  • Kristaps Porzingis OUT (foot

Bucks injury report vs. Celtics on October 28

  • Khris Middleton OUT (ankle)
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo PROBABLE (patella)
  • AJ Green PROBABLE (toe)

Kristaps Porzingis will be out until around the end of the calendar year as he continues to recover from offseason surgery to repair his left posterior tibialis tendon.

After missing the team’s last two games against the Wizards and Pistons, Sam Hauser has been upgraded to questionable for their contest against the Bucks.

Hauser has been experiencing back pain for the past couple of months and is taking things day-to-day.

Milwaukee plays the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, meaning they will be on the second night of a back-to-back when they play the Celtics on Monday. All of their injury statuses will be their listings for the Brooklyn game.

Khris Middleton had surgery on both of his ankles over the summer. He has yet to appear in a game for the Bucks this year and is still listed as out on the injury report.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is experiencing right patella tendinitis and is probable for the Bucks’ game against the Nets, while AJ Green is probable due to a right toe sprain.

Both Antetokounmpo and Green may be off the report by the time Monday comes around, but it seems unlikely that Middleton will be ready to go.

Projected starting lineups

The Celtics will almost certainly roll out their regular starting lineup against the Bucks:

  • Jrue Holiday
  • Derrick White
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Jayson Tatum
  • Al Horford

In their first couple of games, the Bucks have been using the following starting lineup:

  • Damian Lillard
  • Gary Trent Jr.
  • Taurean Prince
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Brook Lopez
