The Boston Celtics’ schedule is packed this week, and their contest against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night is their second-to-last contest of the slate. Boston is fresh off two wins in a row, one over the Miami Heat on Monday and one on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. That said, they did lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Bucks have been steadily turning things around after their ugly start to the season. Their seven-game win streak was recently snapped by the Atlanta Hawks, but the Bucks’ recent success has helped them soar up the standings and into fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Bucks on Friday, December 6.
Celtics injury report vs. Bucks on Friday, December 6
- Jayson Tatum AVAILABLE (right patella tendinopathy)
- Al Horford AVAILABLE (left big toe sprain)
- Kristaps Porzingis OUT ( left PTT injury management)
Bucks injury report vs. Celtics on Friday, December 6
- Giannis Antetokounmpo PROBABLE (knee)
- Khris Middleton AVAILABLE (ankle)
- Marjon Beauchamp QUESTIONABLE (beck)
The Celtics’ have been hit with a bit of an injury bug as of late, dealing with the absences of some of their top stars.
Jayson Tatum was on the injury report once again heading into Friday’s game against the Bucks. He’s still dealing with some right patella tendinopathy. That said, Tatum doesn’t like to sit out games, and he will be available to play against Milwaukee.
Boston’s bigs were also on the injury report heading into Friday. Al Horford was listed as questionable with a big toe sprain, while Kristaps Porzingis is still going through injury management. Horford will be available to play, but Porzingis will be unavailable.
It seems more than likely that neither big will play in both games of the Celtics’ Friday-Saturday back-to-back against the Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies, so expect Horford vs. Milwaukee and Porzingis vs. Memphis.
Khris Middleton is slated to make his season debut against the Celtics on Friday. He had double ankle surgery this summer and hasn’t played in a game yet this year.
In addition, Giannis Antetokounpmo is one the injury report, listed as probably, due to a knee issue. Marjon Beauchamp is questionable to play with a neck injury.
