Celtics Injury Report vs. Heat: Jayson Tatum news, Jaylen Brown, more
By Jack Simone
After dropping their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night, the Boston Celtics will return home for a game against the Miami Heat on Monday, the second leg of a back-to-back. Outside of their loss in Cleveland, Boston had been on fire, winning six games in a row prior to Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Heat have been slowly turning things around after a rocky start to the season. Miami has gone 6-4 in their last 10 games leading up to Monday night, but they lost their last game to the Toronto Raptors. Now, they face a tall task against Boston.
Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Heat on Monday, December 2.

The Celtics have a massive injury report heading into their game against the Heat on Monday night.
Jrue Holiday will be out as he’s still dealing with knee issues. He was listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cavs, but he played.
On top of that, both of the Celtics’ top two bigs—Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis—will be out against the Heat. They both played on Sunday night against the Cavs and probably won’t be playing in back-to-backs this year.
Jaylen Brown, who was out with an illness against Cleveland, is still listed on the injury report as questionable vs. the Heat. Derrick White is also still on the injury report, as he was out against the Cavs due to a right foot sprain.
Jayson Tatum is a new addition to the injury report. He is questionable to play due to right patella tendinopathy.
There has been no real update on the Heat’s injury report, as they played on Sunday night as well, losing to the Raptors.
However, Nikola Jovic, Josh Richardson, and Kel’el Ware were all out for Miami’s loss to Toronto, Jovic with a back issue, Richardson due to illness, and Kel’el Ware due to foot problems. On top of that, and more notably, Jimmy Butler is out due to knee issues and Kevin Love will miss the game with an ankle ailment.
Jimmy Butler is also listed as day-to-day on ESPN’s injury tab, but there is no actual designation.
