The Boston Celtics have absolutely dominated their current road trip up to this point. With only one game left, they’ve gone 5-0 thus far, and there aren’t many games left in the season. Down the stretch, they’ll have to balance their chase for victories with the need to keep everyone healthy heading into the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies are in a very weird spot, having just fired head coach Taylor Jenkins. They’ve dealt with various injuries throughout the season, but as of now, they’re fairly healthy. However, they are in the middle of a tight playoff race in the Western Conference, so they need to keep pushing.
Here is the Celtics injury report for their game against the Grizzlies on Monday, March 31.
Celtics injury report vs. Grizzlies on Saturday, March 31
- Jaylen Brown OUT (right knee posterior impingement)
- Luke Kornet OUT (non-covid illness)
Grizzlies injury report vs. Celtics on Monday, March 31
- Zyon Pullin OUT (right patellar tendon surgery recovery)
- Brandon Clarke OUT (right knee PCL sprain)
Jaylen Brown highlights the Celtics’ injury report heading into Monday night. He is out due to a right knee posterior impingement. It looked like Brown tweaked his knee against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, and he’s dealt with lingering knee issues for most of the year.
Brown’s health will be an important factor to monitor down the stretch of the season, as he’s been on and off the injury report for a little while now.
On top of that, Luke Kornet, who has been playing great basketball as of late, is out on Monday with a non-covid illness.
Despite spraining his ankle in the Celtics’ recent in over the Sacramento Kings, Jayson Tatum only missed one game. He returned in Boston’s last game against the Spurs.
For the Grizzlies, only two players are listed on the injury report ahead of their game against the Celtics.
Brandon Clarke is out due to a right knee PCL strain. He is expected to miss the rest of the season. In addition, Zyon Pullin is out. He’s recovering from surgery on his right patellar tendon.
