The Boston Celtics have been rolling through the NBA. They’ve only played two games, but they won each of them by 20+. A dominant win over the New York Knicks on Opening Night was followed by a whomping of the Washington Wizards, and now, Boston will to Michigan to take on the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit got off to a solid start in their first game against the Indiana Pacers, but they fell apart at the end of the game. They’re hoping to bounce back after a terrible season, while the Celtics are looking to win their second straight championship. But while the two squads are in very different places, the Pistons have played the Celtics well in recent years.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Pistons on Saturday, October 26.

  • Ausar Thompson OUT (illness)
  • Bobi Klintman OUT (calf)

As will be the case for the next couple of months, Kristaps Porzingis is out. He is still recovering from offseason surgery and isn’t expected to be back on the court until around Christmas.

Sam Hauser also remains on the injury report after missing Boston’s game against the Wizards on Thursday. He revealed that he’s been dealing with some back pain for a few months now.

“It’s just something that’s kind of flared up,” Hauser said before the Celtics’ game against the Wizards. “Kind of dealt with it on and off throughout the summer and preseason. So, just try to manage it as best I can and go from there.”

Hauser played in Boston’s season opener against the Knicks, but he’ll likely remain sidelined until the pain in his back settles down.

Detroit will be on the second leg of the back-to-back when they play Boston, and both Ausar Thompson and Bobi Klintman are out on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thompson is out against the Cavs due to an illness, while Klintman will miss the game with a calf issue.

Projected starting lineups

Boston is almost certainly going to roll out the same starting lineup that they’ve played with for all of last year:

  • Jrue Holiday
  • Derrick White
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Jayson Tatum
  • Al Horford

Meanwhile, the Pistons’ starting lineup looked like this in their season opener against the Indiana Pacers:

  • Cade Cunningham
  • Jaden Ivey
  • Tim Hardaway Jr.
  • Tobias Harris
  • Jalen Duren
