The Boston Celtics just won back-to-back games on the road against the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets, but they’ve already made their way home. In the second leg of a home-and-home, the Nets will be at TD Garden on Tuesday night for their second straight matchup with the Celtics.
While Boston continues to solidify their place as the two seed in the Eastern Conference, the Nets are slowly drifting away from the Play-In Tournament. Now, it seems certain that they will miss out on the Play-In, solidifying their place in the lottery race for Cooper Flagg (and that’s a good thing for them).
Here is the Celtics injury report for their game against the Nets on Tuesday, March 18.
Celtics injury report vs. Nets on Friday, March 18
- Jaylen Brown OUT (right knee posterior impingement)
- Jayson Tatum QUESTIONABLE (right knee tendinopathy)
Nets injury report vs. Celtics on Friday, March 14
- Noah Clowney PROBABLE (ankle)
- Ziaire Williams PROBABLY (Achilles)
- Cam Thomas OUT (hamstring)
This season has been a relatively injury-filled one for the Celtics, at least in comparison to the luck they had last year. However, most of the guys who have been hurt this year are not on the injury report heading into Tuesday.
Jaylen Brown is out on Tuesday night against the Nets on Tuesday. He’s dealing with a right knee posterior impingement. Brown was ruled “doubtful to return” at halftime of the Celtics’ game in Brooklyn on Saturday.
On top of that, Jayson Tatum is questionable to play against the Nets on Tuesday due to right knee tendinopathy.
He was originally questionable to play on Saturday, as he played in the first leg of Boston’s back-to-back, but he ended up playing.
Both Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday are not on the injury report after being staples on the list for much of the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, Cam Thomas is out for the Nets, and he’s slated to miss the remainder of the season after injuring his hamstring.
Ziaire Williams and Noah Clowney are both probable to play on Tuesday night against the Nets, Williams due to Achilles soreness and Clowney due to an ankle issue.
