The Boston Celtics dropped their second game of the season on Wednesday, falling to the Golden State Warriors in brutal fashion at the end. They climbed all the way back after a rough first half, but a string of Golden State offensive rebounds closed the door on a Celtics comeback. Now, they’ll welcome the Brooklyn Nets to TD Garden on Friday.

Brooklyn has been one of the surprises of the NBA season thus far. They haven’t been incredible, but considering most thought they would be one of the worst teams in the league, they’ve been solid. The Nets have opened the season 4-4 and are heading into TD Garden hoping to upset the Celtics.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Nets on Friday, November 8.

Celtics injury report vs. Nets on Friday, November 8

  • Jaylen Brown OUT (hip)
  • Luke Kornet DOUBTFUL (hamstring)
  • Kristaps Porzingis OUT (back)

Nets injury report vs. Celtics on Friday, November 8

  • Noah Clowney QUESTIONABLE (illness)
  • Bojan Bogdanovic OUT (foot)
  • Day’Ron Sharpe OUT (hamstring)
  • Trendon Watford OUT (hamstring)

Kristaps Porzingis remains out. He had offseason surgery to repair a rare foot injury he sustained in the NBA Finals. The big man is projected to return sometime in or around December.

On the other hand, Jaylen Brown is a more recent addition the injury report. Friday night against the Nets will mark the fourth straight game that he’s missed due to a hip issue.

Brown is dealing with a left hip flexor strain, and he supposedly got an MRI on it (a second one, as he reportedly got one this summer). Joe Mazzulla said that neither he nor Brown is too concerned with the ailment.

Around the start of the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Warriors, the Celtics ruled Luke Kornet out due to right hamstring tightness. Now, he’s listed as doubtful ahead of Friday vs. the Nets.

Noah Clowney is dealing with an illess, so he is questionable heading into the game on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Bojan Bogdanovic, Day’Ron Sharpe, and Trendon Watford will not play against the Celtics. Bogdanovic has a foot issue and has yet to play in a game this year. Neither Sharpe nor Watford has played in a game yet this season.
