The Boston Celtics can prove they’re out of what has been an early-March malaise, or they can indicate that the March 8 win over Portland was merely a standout night, when they play the Hawks at the Philips Arena on March 11.

Atlanta comes into this one having split their last 10 games, which have been merely a microcosm of their 2022-23 season. The arrival of Dejounte Murray, at the price of three future first-round picks, has not had the intended consequences despite the guard averaging 21/6/5 on a 46/36/84 shooting split.

Boston has the chance to regain ground, or at least not lose any ground, in the Eastern Conference chase for the No. 1 seed given that the Bucks also playing on Saturday. Will the Cs knock off a team they could end up facing in the first round of the postseason, or fall prey to the Hawks?

Boston Celtics vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction

The last time these two teams played in Atlanta, Boston had little trouble dispatching of the Hawks — dominating to the tune of a 126-101 final score. And that was without Marcus Smart in the lineup for the Celtics.

The oddsmakers see this one being a potentially close call, but the Houdini does not. After getting a much-needed win Wednesday, Boston will continue rolling with a double-digit win to kick off a six-game road-trip against a Hawks team that is coming into this one having swept the Wizards in a two-game swing in D.C.
