The Boston Celtics have gone streaking on the winning side of things once more, with their third win in a row being notched in their last contest against the Washington Wizards. That November 27 130-121 win followed two double-digit wins over the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks.

Boston finds itself favored in double-digits again on Monday night in the second game of a back-to-back on November 28 when they host the Charlotte Hornets at the T.D. Garden in the fourth game of a six-game home stand.

Charlotte has limped out to the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference through their first 20 games, and they are one of five teams in the NBA that has yet to win its seventh game of the 2022-23 season.

A big reason for the Hornets’ losing ways is the absence of LaMelo Ball, who has played all but three games this season and has missed his last four, and Gordon Hayward, who has missed time with a fractured left shoulder and could miss more time after playing in just 11 of 20 games early on.

With former Celtics point guard Terry Rozier leading the charge for Charlotte, can a massive upset take place Monday? Or will Boston take care of business for the fourth straight game as a heavy favorite? Hardwood Houdini has your odds and a prediction for the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets on NBC Sports Boston, Bally Sports Southeast, and NBA League Pass (all odds provided by WynnBET):

Boston Celtics vs. Charlotte Hornets odds, spread

The Celtics are 10-point favorites against the Hornets at home. Charlotte is a +380 road underdog while Boston’s ML is set at -500. The over/under for the game has been placed at 225.5 points.

Celtics vs. Hornets prediction

Asking the Celtics without a full-strength Jayson Tatum to cover a spread greater than eight two nights in a row is a tough ask, but riding the high-scoring Joe Mazzulla-led Celtics is never a challenge.

By blowout or close game, the Houdini likes these two teams surpassing 225.5 either way.

Pick: 225.5o (-110)
