Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown will be looking to make his second career NBA All-Star appearance this season. The five-year veteran was last selected to play in the game in the 2020-21 season. That year, he averaged just under 25 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game. In the process, JB shot 48% from the field and just under 40% from beyond the arc.

Last season, the 25-year-old wasn’t able to make it back to the All-Star game, despite putting up similar numbers. He even scored a career high of 50 points against the Orlando Magic back in January.

The Celtics had been struggling quite a bit before the All-Star break, and weren’t a team that deserved to have more than one player selected to the game. Brown was a casualty of that and wound up watching the game from the couch, or maybe while on vacation, who really knows.

The Georgia native is in a good spot to make the squad this season. The Boston Celtics are primed to have a monster season and the team’s success could propel Brown in this season’s mid-February exhibition in Utah.

The national T.V. schedule is in favor of Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown will have the chance to wow fan voters across the country with his exciting style of play this season. The Cs will play on national television 37 times throughout the 2022-23 season. They’ll play 11 games on ESPN, nine on TNT, four on ABC, one on both ESPN and ABC, and will have 12 games syndicated to NBA TV.

The Celtics guard already opened some eyes during the NBA playoffs last season. He was consistently Boston’s second best player during their run to the NBA Finals. You could even make the argument that he was better than Jayson Tatum during the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat, when he put up 24 points and seven rebounds per game. He was efficient as well, shooting just under 49% from the field and 40% from deep.

2022-23 is somewhat of a make-or-break season for Brown in Boston after the Kevin Durant trade rumors, but if he truly is all in on the franchise like sources believe, this could be a massive breakthrough for No. 7 in green.
