It seems like only yesterday we were seeing the Boston Celtics squaring off against the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals.

Alas, it’s been several months since.

With this, it makes it all the more shocking that we’re now only a little over a month away from training camps opening and, from there, just a few weeks from October 18th’s tip-off to the 2022-23 campaign.

Just recently, the league officially released every team’s regular season schedule and, when it comes to the C’s 82-game slate, 37 of them will be nationally televised, thus showing that the people are highly interested in seeing the league’s runner-ups as much as possible.

We at HH are certainly excited to once again see Boston basketball being played in live action, and, when it comes to their specific schedule, there are 3 games, in particular, that should be tabbed as the most anticipated of them all:

Anticipated Boston Celtics game No. 1) First matchup against Brooklyn

When: December 4th, 2022

For the entirety of this offseason, it seems as though all people can seemingly talk about when it comes to the Boston Celtics is how they could wind up being a realistic landing spot for Kevin Durant who, earlier this summer, requested a trade out of Brooklyn.

Though opinions on the matter certainly vary, from the looks of things it appears that the majority of C’s fans are of the belief that making such a move should not be considered, for it would almost certainly come at the expense of Jaylen Brown who, along with Jayson Tatum, just led the team to the NBA Finals and could go on to guide them into becoming a future dynasty if kept together.

With the hope being that a deal does not get made and the Jays stay intact, this first of four matchups between these two Atlantic Division foes should be highly anticipated.

Not only does this contest have incredible intrigue because of these aforementioned summer rumblings, but also because of the fact that Boston just recently trounced the Nets via sweep in the first round of the playoffs last season.

A win for Boston could be a triumphant “salt in the wound” type of scenario.

That said, a loss spearheaded by a tremendous showing by Durant…it’s sad to say, and perhaps unjust, but it could spark back up the rumors to the desire of the Celtics to get the ball rolling on blockbuster negotiations.

This early-season contest has the potential to carry a ton of weight.
