Boston Celtics address their desire for a wing with a Houdini favorite target

So a few days ago we once again found ourselves discussing the concept of the Boston Celtics trading for our favorite target over the last several years in Terrence Ross.

Surprisingly, this time around we ultimately decided that it may be best if the front office focused their attention elsewhere and, instead, tried to address one of their big man positions with their remaining expendable assets and the Fournier TPE.

However, shortly after this piece was penned, word surfaced pertaining to the positions that head coach, Ime Udoka would still like to address this summer, and mentioned within his list was the oft-troubled wing spot, particularly when it comes to backup options to help bolster the position behind the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

With this news, we can’t help but feel that, should they actually look to try and continue beefing up this area on the depth chart, Ross should absolutely be back on the table, and rightly so.

Deemed by us as a “dream target” for the C’s on numerous occasions, the veteran has made a name for himself as being known as a stout offensive weapon to have coming off the pine.

For his career, the sparkplug sixth man has constantly been impressing fans and his own teammates with his stellar athleticism and solid isolation skills and boasts averages of 17.1 points and 4.3 boards on 36 percent shooting from deep per 75 possessions.

At perhaps one second-round pick (perhaps two but, considering his lull last season and lack of bites from potential suitors this summer, we think just one could wind up sufficing), there aren’t many options Stevens could pursue that would provide as much upside as Ross.
