Dream TPE target for Boston Celtics No. 2) Terrence Ross

Over the past several years, the Boston Celtics have proven to be one of the worst teams in terms of second-unit scoring.

Last year, the team’s bench was an unbelievably stagnant offensive bunch, ranking 28th in points per game and 23rd in offensive rating by season’s end.

Though the addition of Dennis Schroder may have been a nice move to get the bench’s offensive prowess heading in the right direction, before tip-off in October, Stevens and co. should strongly consider bringing on at least one more scoring punch to the rotation and, in our humble opinion, a guy like Terrence Ross could be a great grab.

Over the last three seasons in Orlando, the wing has worked his way into playing a pivotal role off the bench for the Magic, serving as the team’s main sparkplug scorer.

Since 2018, whilst predominantly coming off the pine, Ross finds himself boasting impressive averages of 15.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep.

A player who can buy a bucket in the mid-to-long range with some crafty maneuvering on ball while also being able to jam it home on fast-break lobs with his impressive athleticism, acquiring the likes of Terrance Ross could be a great move for the Boston Celtics to ponder on, especially considering they currently have no dependable options to backup Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum at the wing.

At an average salary of $12 million over the next two years, absorbing the 30-year-old’s contract would be rather easy with the C’s TPE.
