Boston Celtics player No. 2) Justin Jackson

The announcement that Justin Jackson had signed on to play for the Boston Celtics’ Summer League team was made just a few hours before the team took to the floor against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Despite this short notice and lacking knowledge of their scheme, the former first-rounder still managed to have a solid showing for the club, dropping 10 points, seven of which came during the third period–a time where essentially no one else could buy a bucket (the team as a whole dropped just 28 points in the quarter).

After his debut, Jackson then saw his role increase exponentially in their follow-up matchup against Golden State, where he paved the way to a stellar win as he scored a team-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor and 5-of-10 shooting from deep.

Now, just a few years back, Jackson was a highly touted prospect coming out of UNC who would go on to be selected 15th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Since entering the league, however, he’s bounced around quite a bit, suiting up for six different franchises in just five seasons (one of which being the Boston Celtics).

Considering the fact that the C’s are still reportedly looking to add on some wing depth, a guy like Jackson, who’s fighting to keep his career alive, might just look to continue his impressive Game 3 production into Game 4 which, as a result, could end up putting him in consideration for a training camp invite.
