Proposed Boston Celtics target No. 2) Jordan Clarkson

Next up on the list, we ironically find someone that, just recently, we deemed as a popular TPE target who the Boston Celtics should not look to trade for in Jordan Clarkson.

While we may have stated in our piece that the ball club has already done a fine job of addressing arguably the weakest area of their rotation from last season in second-unit scoring what with the additions of Danilo Gallinari and Malcolm Brogdon, Tarringo Basile-Vaughan seems to be under the impression that this is still something that the front office should consider bolstering at some point down the road:

"This is not an immediate need for the Boston Celtics but Clarkson, who averaged 16.0 points off the bench for the Jazz in 2021 would give the team even more punch off the bench to go along with Malcolm Brogdon."

Now believe us when we say, even with Gallo and Brogdon in tow, the addition of the former Sixth Man of the Year would be an incredibly fun sight to see, as Ime Udoka would then have three players outside of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown who can go out and buy a bucket for the team which, as we all know, was something sorely missing from their NBA Finals bout.

Having said that, as we feared in our original assessment of the matter, Basile-Vaughan also believes that such a move would require a decent chunk of change being sent over to Utah (in his article, he mentioned how it would likely take someone like Payton Pritchard and draft capital) which, being that they seemingly already have improved their offensive punch off the pine this summer, just doesn’t seem worth it to us.

Verdict: Pass
