The Boston Celtics may currently be winning the NBA Offseason after kicking things off with the signing of Danilo Gallinari and the deal that landed them Malcolm Brogdon, but it is the Nets who have seemingly attracted all the attention from fans and media pundits alike.

On the first official day of free agency, The Athletic’s Shams Charania brought the sports world into an all-out frenzy as he reported that megastar Kevin Durant had requested a trade out of Brooklyn.

With this news, all that has been talked about as of late has been where the wing will wind up playing next season and what kind of package it could take for a team to acquire him.

Now, with such a high-profile player, in all likelihood, a deal of this magnitude will take significant time to get done, as it will require a bevy of moving pieces and ample hours of negotiation.

Based on all the speculation that’s been circulating, it is the belief of many that of all the teams in the association, the C’s would have the best offer to shell out to Brooklyn should they be interested in acquiring the likes of KD, as they could realistically piece together a package headlined by All-Star wing, Jaylen Brown, heading outbound.

Having said that, though the front office could put together the most intriguing trade, this does not mean that they should be interested in doing so, as there are a multitude of reasons why keeping this current core intact should be a major priority moving forward.
