Boston Celtics: 1 stud and 1 dud from C’s series clinching win over Bucks

For the entirety of their Semifinals matchup, things were a back and forth affair between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks but, after their clutch win on the road in Game 6, the C’s were viewed as five-point favorites to win Game 7’s home tilt over the Milwaukee Bucks.

By the time the final buzzer sounded Sunday evening, this projection was astoundingly surpassed, as the shamrocks essentially had the contest wrapped up in their favor midway through the fourth period.

Outside of the fact that the Bucks managed to get off to a quick 13-6 lead through the first few minutes of play and finished out the initial 12 minute period with a 26-20 advantage, the C’s had an answer for virtually everything the defending champs threw at them and were able to take hold of the lead prior to halftime and never let go, finishing with a stellar 109-81 victory.

And just like that, Boston is heading back to the Eastern Conference Finals for their fourth appearance in six seasons!

As the old saying goes, basketball is a team sport and it took the entirety of the rotation to pull out this major win in such a high stakes closeout contest.

Ime Udoka had seven players log 15+ minutes in the game, and the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown paved the way for them all, as both were unbelievably efficient with their two-way style of play and, simply put, played up to their star monikers for, combined, the Jays went on to post 30 points and 14 boards on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 50 percent shooting from deep.
