Boston Celtics dud: Aaron Nesmith

……

Folks, we really hate it when we list Aaron Nesmith as the “dud” of a contest for, as those who follow us regularly already know, we want nothing more than to see the second-year pro find his groove and contribute in the way that many believed he would when coming into the league (i.e. a high-end bench scorer with a smooth jumper and tremendous energy).

Sadly, as the days have gone by in 2021-22, the 22-year-old finds himself inching closer and closer to receiving the Romeo Langford treatment come either the offseason or during next year’s campaign, and Sunday night’s performance certainly did not help him in any way.

Despite the fact that he logged 15:51 on the night (the third-most minutes received among the C’s reserves), Nesmith failed to take advantage of the opportunity presented to him as being arguably the only noteworthy wing on the floor for large chunks of the second half.

The sophomore wing’s shooting struggles continued in this game against the Grizzlies, as he shot just 1-for-4 on the night, all of these attempts coming from beyond the arc.

In the end, Aaron Nesmith finished the exhibition with just five points and three rebounds while also tallying one turnover and a whopping five personal fouls.

Frankly, as a supposed scorer, when you have just as many points as you do fouls, that can only be described as a bad outing.

Next. 3 C’s that will make-or-break team’s championship potential. dark
