Boston Celtics Takeaway No.1) Jaylen Brown deserves to be an All-Star

For the Boston Celtics, when their two stars are in sync they can be nearly unstoppable.

Jaylen Brown was the one to lead the charge early on with 26 of his 29 points coming in the first half.

Finishing the game with 29 points, eight rebounds, and three assists on 10-17 shooting from the field and 5-7 shooting from downtown, Brown dominated early, all while playing plus defense, not committing any fouls, and coughing up just two turnovers.

It’s incredibly disappointing to not see Brown named as an All-Star.

Coming into the contest averaging 23.5 points, 3.2 assists, and 6.6 rebounds per game, Jaylen Brown showed players, coaches, and fans on the national broadcast that he might just be the biggest snub of this year’s All-Star Game.

Matisse Thybulle is regularly regarded as the 76ers’ best defender, and even he could not cover Jaylen Brown on Tuesday night.

The Boston Celtics performed so well that Tatum and Brown were able to clock out early on the first night of this back-to-back set.

During the current nine-game win streak, coach Ime Udoka has leaned on Tatum and Brown to bring the ball up and facilitate the offense at times.

With Marcus Smart possibly out tomorrow night in Boston, the C’s could lean on Brown’s playmaking.

It wasn’t just Brown’s offense that lifted the Celtics on Tuesday night, as the 25-year-old’s defense proved to be a pillar of dominance in the win.

Brown spoke about the team’s terrific defense after the game, praising their ability to “play both sides” of the ball.

The trio of Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown proved to be too much for the 76ers to handle as they finished a combined +107.
