The Boston Celtics have entered the new year on a two-game winning streak after beating the Phoenix Suns on New Year’s Eve and the Orlando Magic in overtime on January 2nd.

The team is starting to get on a roll and they are getting key reinforcements back in Jayson Tatum and Robert Williams tonight in their bout against the lowly Spurs and, looking at their easy schedule moving forward, the Cs have a great opportunity to move up in the Eastern Conference standings this month.

Currently, Boston has the fourth easiest remaining schedule in the NBA, which is much needed after the team’s slow start. They also have nine homes games to finish this month and they need to start taking advantage of them, starting tonight against San Antonio.

This is a great opportunity for the shamrocks to make a move up in the conference as they currently sit 10th.

An advantage the Boston Celtics have is that they are going to catch up with the other East teams in terms of games played against teams below .500. The C’s have played the fewest amount of games against teams below .500 among playoff teams in their respective conference this year.

They are going to have to start playing better against bad teams because it will give them a chance to move up in the standings. Everything is starting to come together for the C’s as they are healthy again.

Tonight, Boston is welcoming back Tatum from COVID-19 protocols, and they get Time Lord back as well. This gives new life to the team and it has the players excited for what’s to come.

According to Jay King, Williams said, “having our full roster back, I’m just ready to experience the energy, honestly.”

This is important for the Celtics, for they have only had their desired starting five available for just eight of their 37 games.

The Boston Celtics have no excuses as they have their roster healthy, and they have an easy schedule moving forward.

If they want to make a significant run to have a more desirable seed in the standings come playoff time, they need to start winning the easy games on their schedule.
