While Sunday night’s game looked like a rough one for about 30 to 40 minutes, the Boston Celtics ultimately managed to outplay the bottom-dwelling Orlando Magic when it really mattered, which is all they needed in the end.

The shamrocks outlasted the Magic in overtime 116-111 in a game of runs, with All-Star wing, Jaylen Brown, leading the charge for the team with fellow Jay-squad member, Jayson Tatum, still out as he remains in Health and Safety protocols, which was absolutely imperative considering the fact that Terrence Ross caught fire to lead the young and inexperienced Magic roster on the opposite end.

Even though the C’s won the game, they definitely didn’t make it easy on themselves.

Frankly, just like with any game there were some good aspects, some bad, and some just flat-out ugly outputs throughout the night.

Today, we will dive into each of these aforementioned categories:

The good: Jaylen Brown

While he did have some unnecessary turnovers, Jaylen Brown certainly made up for this with the fact that he scored a whopping 50 points on the night.

On top of that, he added 11 rebounds, joining the exclusive company of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Jayson Tatum for games with 50+ points and 10+ rebounds in Boston Celtics history.

He also added four assists, one steal, two blocks, and 66/50/88 shooting splits, so other than his seven turnovers, Brown had a fantastic game.

Given the fact that the outing went into overtime, Boston desperately needed this performance, in what was a hard-fought battle against the lowly Magic where the offense struggled for most of the night.
