Boston Celtics 6MOY – Dennis Schroder

Despite actually starting more games than coming off the bench, Dennis Schroder has really been the only significant option off the bench, so I’m giving him the Sixth Man of the Year award.

The only reason Schroder has been starting has been due to injuries, so I still consider him a bench option.

So far this season, Schroder is averaging a solid 17 points, four rebounds, and five assists on 44/34/88 shooting splits, and has provided a great boost off the bench that the C’s have desperately needed the last few seasons.

He’s also stepped up greatly in the absence of important players like Jaylen Brown, which the Cs need him to continue doing when these important players are on the bench rather than sitting out entirely.

Considering the lack of other good options for the award, I decided to go with Schroder, despite starting more games than coming off the bench.
