Weakness Boston Celtics need to fix No. 3) Starting strong, finishing strong

The Boston Celtics are a team that has suffered from something that we like to call the tale of two halves syndrome. Essentially, what this means is that the team cannot seem to have the same amount of success in one half as they have managed to have in another.

Be it a strong first two quarters that are followed up with a late-game collapse (take Monday’s game against Chicago, for example) or an abysmal start that needs to be countered with strong play throughout the third and fourth quarters (October 25th’s matchup against the Hornets), for some reason it seems as though the Celtics just can’t seem to put forth the same level of production through all periods of a contest.

A strong start and a strong finish have yet to be seen together, which has proven to be a major reason why they find themselves boasting a lowly 2-5 record to start the year.

Finding consistency in their play throughout a game will be a major key in getting their season going on the right track, and it will take a collective effort from top to bottom for Boston to accomplish this, for their stars certainly have not proven to be the most steady of contributors thus far.
