Boston Celtics stud: Jaylen Brown

Generally speaking, when we do our selections for Boston Celtics stud, we try not to list either of the two All-Stars in Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown for, obviously, we expect them to be the guys for this team every night which, in turn, would make choosing them a bit too easy.

In fact, for this article, we even were strongly considering the idea of putting 2021-22 breakout candidate Robert Williams here instead for, on any other night, he likely would have been our pick.

That said, the wing was simply too good during the C’s season opener for us to leave him out as our final stud selection.

As we alluded to earlier, history was made during Boston’s bout against the Knickerbockers, for Brown broke the franchise record for most points in a season opener with a whopping 46 while shooting an unbelievably efficient 53 percent shooting from the field and 57 percent from deep.

With this, however, Brown didn’t only manage to make his mark in the scoring department, as he went on to impact the game in virtually every aspect imaginable, filling out the rest of his stat sheet with nine boards, six assists, three steals and a block to go along with a team-high box plus-minus of +16.

Essentially viewed as a game-day decision after missing time with COVID-19, many were under the impression that due to the fact that he had been held out during the past week or so he may not have been properly conditioned to suit up.

Ultimately, he proved all the skeptics wrong by logging just under 46 minutes on the night while showcasing his impressive quickness, stellar athleticism, and his ever-improving ball-handling skills throughout.

Without question, Jaylen Brown is the ultimate stud for the Boston Celtics from their game one showdown.
